About Charazoi Medical Clinic

Charazoi Medical Clinic offers general practice and family medical services from our convenient location in the center of Singapore. You can visit us for your daily medical needs, general health screenings, vaccinations and management of chronic diseases. We are a Healthier SG, CHAS, Medisave-registered and an accredited clinic.

We go beyond our clinic’s walls and stated operating hours to care for our patients, with teledoctor consultation, house-call doctor and home care services available for patients wishing to be attended to in the comfort of your home. The clinic partners with Ninkatec – the leading home care and medical technology provider in Singapore to bring round-the-clock professional care to the doorsteps of our patients’ home.

Charazoi Medical Clinic was founded to also meet the rising need for quality and affordable palliative care in Singapore. Often misunderstood as a treatment only terminally ill patients would need, palliative in fact is suitable for patients at any stage of illness and healing. It aims to improve the well-being of patients and their families throughout the recuperation journey. The most common problem palliative care addresses for the patient is treatment and management of pain. But there are also many other physical, psychological and spiritual issues that can be prevented and relieved through palliative care.

Dr Choo Dee Pheng is a senior family physician with over 25 years experience in primary healthcare. She graduated with her medical degree in 1991 (MBBS, University of New South Wales, Australia) and obtained her post-graduate qualification in Internal Medicine in 1997 (MRCP, UK). She also obtained the following post-graduate qualifications: Graduate Diploma in Family Practice Dermatology (GDFPD, NUS, 2005), Graduate Certificate in Health (Palliative Care, Flinders University of South Australia, 2010) and Family Physician Accreditation (Singapore, 2012).

Her areas of clinical interest include management of chronic diseases, health screening, palliative care, preventive medicine, management of dermatological conditions and women’s healthcare.

Dr Alethea Chew graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2016 with MBBS. Her journey includes rotations through various medical and surgical departments in public healthcare institutions before becoming Resident Physician in General Medicine at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Notably, Dr Alethea played a key role in pioneering pilot programs for Ambulatory Care and Early Supported Discharge. Committed to holistic patient care, she is dedicated to providing quality time, effective communication, and fostering meaningful relationships with patients and their caregivers. Dr Alethea’s passion and expertise underscore her commitment to enhancing healthcare experiences.

Dr Ng Wai Chong is a practising community aged-care physician of over 20 years experience. His clinical and research interests include primary health care for the frail, healthy ageing, caregiver support, dementia care, case management, end-of-life care and comprehensive needs assessment.

Dr Ng is Health Specialist, Asian Development Bank; Consultant, Agency for Integrated Care; Aged-care Expert-in-Residence, Lien Foundation; Medical Advisor, HomeNursing Foundation and is also Singapore’s InterRAI Fellow. He was the former Chief, Clinical Affairs of Tsao Foundation.
